At NECON, we have developed a unique and innovative production technology designed to achieve two important goals: exceptional digestibility and maximum protein quality.
For carbohydrates, vegetables, minerals and other non-protein ingredients to be easily digested, they must undergo multiple stages of thermal processing in the extrusion system. In conventional pet food manufacturing, protein ingredients such as meat or fish are mixed together with all other ingredients and exposed to the same repeated heat treatment.
The result? While digestibility may improve, the nutritional quality and natural taste of the protein can be significantly reduced.
To preserve the full nutritional value of high-quality animal protein, NECON developed and patented a unique cold-coating technology. With this method, meat or fish is heat-processed only once, while the non-protein ingredients undergo the necessary extrusion stages required for optimal digestibility.
After the kibble is produced, premium meat or fish proteins are applied using a special cold-coating process. This allows us to protect the valuable nutrients, natural flavour and quality of the protein source.
Thanks to NECON technology, our recipes retain more of their natural nutritional value, maintain exceptionally high protein quality, and deliver outstanding palatability without the need for artificial flavour enhancers.
